All Calculation Units that appear on the Estimating page are sorted according a default Sorting Order number assigned to them during system setup.
Sorting numbers are assigned based on the “usual” workflow.
So, pre-press operations have the lower sorting numbers and press operations - the higher.
We can manually change the sorting numbers to accommodate for any changes in our calculations workflow.
1. First, make sure than the “Sorting Order” column is visible on the Estimating Page. If not, you will need to "personalize" your view.
2. See an initial arrangement of the calculation lines:
“Subcontract” operation got sorted based on the default sorting number assigned to it.
In this case, I want my “Subcontract” line to be above diecutting.
So, I will manually change the sorting number to something like 649999, then hit “F5” (refresh).
We now see this:
When assigning sorting numbers manually, you are actually changing how PrintVis does the calculations.
As you see, PrintVis re-assigned "Process" number.
And, scrap calculations will be affected.
Please also make sure that "non-sheet-specific" operations are not placed before the "sheet-specific" ones.
This will interrupt the calculations and lead to an unexpected result.
