PrintVis Profiles (Roles)
In PrintVis, navigate to “Profiles (Roles) page”
You will see an extensive list of various Profiles (Roles). Some are created by Microsoft for the Business Central users and some are added by PrintVis specifically for PrintVis users (these ones usually have a 7-digit ID number starting with 601….)
* Hint: If you see an ID number starting with 601….., that means this field / page has been created / modified by PrintVis. PrintVis, as one of the Microsoft’s partners, gets a specific ID range assigned to it – and that range starts with 601….
One of the Profiles (usually a “Coordinator”) is selected as a “Default Profile”.
So, if a user has not been assigned a specific profile, PrintVis will use a default profile:
To assign a specific profile to a Business Central user, navigate to “User Personalizations” page
Here you will see all current Profile assignments:
If a Business Central user is not on the list,
click “New”
select a User ID
then assign a profile:
Language ID is not mandatory.
"Company" – used when multiple companies are setup and we want to link the assigned user’s profile to a specific company.
A USER CAN HAVE ONLY 1 PROFILE ASSIGNED AT ANY GIVEN TIME
* Note that when you are presented with the list of Profiles, you only see a few of them.
